World's Fair Picture Perfect Peek-a-Boo Photo Booth

Alright I know I've been missing some posts. And I swear I'm starting to get myself on track. Procrastination kills and I don't deny I'm somewhat very susceptible to this kind of curse at times. Well, I guess this could be the worst curse ever on earth every human being will ever experience. It makes people dysfunctional at best.

So for today, I'm showcasing one of my projects I've done for Graphic 45 using their gorgeous World's Fair collection. This carnival series look so much fun in it! And I absolutely adore hot-air balloons!!! Looks like I can easily get fascinated over almost everything.

Thinking about taking photos in a carnival fair? Here is this little booth at the World’s Fair where you can create/recreate yourself uniquely using the various photo props available. Only in this booth and nowhere else. Be inspired and fearless, create without fear...

My Cute Little Candy World

A couple of my wildest and sweetest imaginations (with a little childhood fantasy), are nothing real but sleeping in Hansel and Gretel's candy house and immersing in Jack & the Beanstalk’s gigantism metaphor. It's like looking big yet everything is perceived so small in reality. Well, some kind of irregularities here and I think I'm spouting some kind of out-of-space language. You are more than welcome to ignore this insanity here.

Taking inspiration from the 2 fables above (with a little touch of my twisted fantasy), I managed to mount my WIP watercan into a frame and build a box behind. Though it seems like my theory is a little off, I was actually keeping in mind to make the candy land a pretty one while building this up. Soooo... it turned out that my insanity has ended up something whimsical!!! Instead of a beanstalk, I used cotton candy as the bubbly land for the cute little candy house, which is up above this gigantic watering can. You will need to climb up from the floral cloud, up towards the mouth of the watering can, cross the key bridges and walk towards the candy house. A Sugar Godfather awaits you with lots of cotton candy and sweets…

An assemblage art piece finally all done up, featuring in today's Graphic 45's blogpost!!! I hereby welcome you to enter into into my little candy world...

Eastern Estate Fairy Tea Booth No.5

For those who are fans of The Archies Show, you probably have heard this song Sugar, Sugar. Even I wasn't born in the 50s/60s, I knew about The Archies and had own a couple of Archies comics when young. Err... Is this a boy thing? Well, I stopped playing with dolls after watching Child's Play.

Ever thought how a fairy version of The Archies would look like? I took this inspiration boldly and brought my creative brain cells to another level. It was a seriously random, chaos and out of the space kind of process before I could piece things up together. Instead of a kissing booth, I did this little fairy tea booth for something you could relate to The Archies' Riverdale Carnival. The difference between them is just a few era away, happening in Eastern Estate not Riverdale High School. Just imagine them jamming in with wings and having tea.

Here I present the Eastern State Fairy Tea Booth No. 5!!! A very warm Welcome to this season's Tea Carnival!!!

This piece is available for sale HERE...

This tea booth is one of a kind, being No. 5 for what you could imagine; the Archies band has 5 members. A floral arch over the teapot with wings certainly tells you something ethereal is going on with this booth. And yes, this booth is nothing but only minute of everything...

Hmm... Someone has left a teacup here, within the roses below the floral arch...

Tea Booth No. 5 will only stop by here for this Carnival season as you could see there's wheels beneath, i.e. this booth moves like a cart! I hope it could fly, unfortunately due to the natural nature construction of this booth, it has to be down to earth. Staying grounded is always good.

Well well well, all tea glitters, sugar, honey, teaware and dolly mat are sold at teaspoonful each - no more no less. A wide variety of tea glitters are available in this little red catalog. For the rich pollen bed is overly tempting, before you could browse through the catalog you would need to wear the pair of red gloves. Should any steals happen, any spots of pollen would be easily spotted.

Free tea session happens at 5 and 2/3 in the evening. Several range of sizzling glittering teas would be served on these shimmering teacups mats. Be sure to drop by before the booth is gone for good. Sugar, Honey, Tea or Me?

Here is a link that contains most of the items used for this project, whereas below is a breakdown list on what I used.

A Spring Summer Sun Clock

Alright I'm on altered clock again. When I received my latest Pion Design DT pack which contained Linnaeus Botanical Journal collection and design colour palette, I had a hard time thinking of a project I could do. As I looked at my room and there's wall clock, I knew I need a clock.

Here am sharing one project taking from Linnaeus famous sunclock as an inspiration and made myself a sun clock!

My Bizarre Two Days

Yes I know I've not been updating due to some curses I was having for the past months. I was literally artistically incapacitated, creatively constipated. I wished for a potion that I could just flush all my creative juices out and be able to function well like a human. Seriously, I guess it has got to do with my ultra long working hours, late sleeping and waking up late that's causing all these curses.

Well, in order to get rid of those evil curses, I've been trying very hard to sleep early and wake up early. Sooo, I bought myself a physical alarm clock from Ikea and started to train myself. Because of this physical clock in place, I can't snooze the alarm. I always do that on my iPhone! Good initiative. The earlier I wake up, the better I could get my day started correctly. While I'm struggling to get this new routine in place, I'd like to share what had happened during the past 2 days of my life...

ErmM... (*pinch, shake and clear throat*)...

DAY ONE (1)
I was trying to off my alarm clock this morning but to no avail. I called in my assistant to help me turn off the alarm but no matter what we did, we just couldn't off it... And the alarm went louder and louder!!!

Suddenly, I jumped off the bed and got to realize I was actually dreaming and the sound of the alarm was actually coming from my real life Ikea alarm clock which I placed it on my desk. No wonder my assistant and I couldn't shut the bloody alarm up 'cos we are just a dimension away!

... ...

DAY TWO (2)
I was at my friend's place watching TV and fell asleep. Then my iPhone alarm went on. My friend's wife tried to off it for me but to no avail. She called her husband (my friend) for help and couldn't off it. And he tried to pry open my iPhone to off it. Still, the alarm went on and on till I got up and wonder why is he doing that to my phone! The alarm just couldn't get turn off!!!!

Suddenly, I jumped off from my bed and got to realize it was my real life iPhone alarm and I was dreaming. We are a dimension away!

Yesterday my assistant and I couldn't off my Ikea alarm clock and today my friend had to pry open my iPhone!

Lesson learnt - Get the butt off the bed immediately once your alarm clock starts ringing!!!

Indeed, the past 2 days have been bizarre to me - traveling between dimensions of reality and dreams. And this reminds me of sharing another altered mobile case project for both ScrapFX and Shimmerz Paints. Just couldn't get enough of phone covers I guess...
