Graphic 45 Come Away with Me Stacked Suitcases

What's sharing today at Graphic 45 blog is this major project I had worked on it for about a week - stacked suitcases. Greatly inspired by the various stacked suitcases pins as home decor all over Pinterest, I decided to create my very own mini version by building each of them from scratch. Used quite a lot of Come Away with Me papers I should say. And I absolutely love love love this travel collection.

Inside each suitcase is a library of miniature books, matchbox suitcases, and other treasures inspired by the movies Titanic and The Aviator.

I've created a tutorial on how to make these cute little matchbox suitcases and a walk-through YouTube video to showcase this project. Currently, I'm working on a couple of tutorial sheets for this project, and once I've finished compiling I'll list them for sale on my Esty store. Do keep a look out, will be out pretty soon. I hope you guys will like this project. Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy.

Again, thankful to be invited to be Gloria's guest designer for this month Challenge #14 ... For this challenge, I created this lovely Friendship card using Graphic 45's Kraft Reflection paper collection and one of the cards from Clear Scraps Send it Clear Card that's in my design team package... I added on this button from Tim Holtz that I've been hoarding for years... Finally for this challenge, I can make use of it...

Do pop by Glora's challenge blog to show her some love and support...

Back to School Fun Tutorial with Graphic 45

What's sharing on today's Graphic 45's blogpost is a short tutorial on how to create these cute mini notebooks using just a single sheet of printer paper in just 4 simple steps.

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Fold an A4 size printer paper into 16 parts and cut across the paper as shown, leaving the last part uncut.
Step 2: Gather and fold the paper alternatively into a mini accordion book. Distress the edges if preferred.
Step 3: Wrap Kraft cardstock around the book. This will be the cover. Glue/tape down the first and last parts of the paper onto the insides of the cover.
Step 4: Embellish as follows. And you're done!!!

The final size of the mini notebooks measures 2.25" x 3". For those wondering about A4 size, it's an international ISO standard paper size commonly used in Singapore, UK, and some Commonwealth countries. It's larger than the US letter size paper, which measures 8.27" x 11.7" (21cm x 29.7cm). If you can't find A4 size printer paper, don't worry! You can use letter size or similar sizes, just keep in mind that your notebooks will be smaller. The steps, however, remain the same. I hope this clears things up for you.

Have fun!!! Cheers!!!
