Suitcase Treasures Tutorial & Mini Travel Map Books

Finally, I've done up a PDF tutorial in how to create these little suitcases which is one of the featured suitcases in my Graphic 45 DT stacked suitcases project. Now available in my Etsy for purchase and download. The stacked suitcases would probably take some more time to get it all done up.

I've also made a set of mini travel map handbound books for sale as well which you can also purchase as part of your suitcase treasures if you desire to. Unfortunately, I only made 5 sets of these books, and once they are sold out, I won't be making them again.

Clear Scraps + Echo Park Simple Life Collection

This week is Echo Park week on Clear Scraps blog... I received this Simple Life Collection Kit in my latest Clear Scraps DT package... Seriously, this is my very first attempt working with Echo Park collection... In particular for this collection, it's just simply too cute... Too cute that I do not know what to do with it... LOL...

Then... One day I caught my sister uploading a big chuck of selfies she had with my niece onto her FB and Taa-Daaa!!! I used those photos to create an album for this using the 6" x 6" Acrylic Tab Album...

And here it is, one of the cutest album I've ever created...

Enjoy!!!

A Good Ol' Sport Briefcase

Today on Clear Scraps blog post, I've created this Good Ol' Sport briefcase using Graphic 45 Good Ol' Sport paper collection and Clear Scraps Chipboard Brag Bag Album...

Instead of using the album as it is, I actually altered it to become a briefcase by using one of the chipboards to sandwich between the front and back covers... The other 2 remaining chipboards I used it as the album covers... What's inside as pages are the remaining acrylic pages from my previous Clear Scrap DT projects...

Not exactly an album I should say but I'd think it's more towards a collage display book frame which I fully made use of the acrylic sheets to build up the pages to give a final collage when pages are stacked together... On the inside of the covers, I delibrately keep it simple, leaving it just it is for placement of photo which I think it will look great together with the collage pages... Something one can use as a photo display piece... The big red bow in the front cover is actually an origami bow made from a single sheet of 6" x 6" pattern paper, which you can find it all over the web on tutorials how to make this.... Hmmm, something that I think it will look well and indeed it does!!! And I'm loving it how it turns out...

Here is the list of supplies to make this project:
I hope you will like it... Enjoy!!!

Whimiscal Altered Birdcage for Petaloo & Graphic 45 Blog Hop

Today is the last day for Petaloo and Graphic 45 Blog Hop... What I've created for this blog hop is this whimiscal altered birdcage... Actually I wanted to altered a lantern but it seems that it's pretty common and one of my teammates Solange Marques is doing that for this blog hop so I decided to make a change...

This birdcage stands at ~7” tall and took me a day just to re-paint, colour and seal the cage before I can embellish... Everything has to be taken in caution as I could only work within such a small area through that little door... What’s inside the base of the cage houses the various ingredients (pumpkins, bats, feathers and potions) together with this cute little magical bird... I drapped the floral branches down the cage and glue several mini pumpkins onto the branches to make it look like pumkins vines that grow on top of the cage... Thinking a pair of wings will spice up the cage, I altered and added the angel wings behind the cage to give a steampunk look... It turns out quite well and I like the effect when it's all done... To spice up a little more, I've also added a basketful of pumpkins pods and a bottle of wishing bones at the bottom of the cage as side decorations...

I hope you will like it and has been an inspiration to you... So now here I present this whimsical altered birdcage... Enjoy!!!

"Low and behold!!!

Beware of that tiny magical bird that sits proudly inside the cage… He’s the master of Wishing Spells and brews spells for anyone who wish for it... Beware of what you wish for, your wish may be granted in the wrong way…"

Graphic 45 Come Away with Me Stacked Suitcases

What's sharing today at Graphic 45 blog is this major project I had worked on it for about a week - stacked suitcases. Greatly inspired by the various stacked suitcases pins as home decor all over Pinterest, I decided to create my very own mini version by building each of them from scratch. Used quite a lot of Come Away with Me papers I should say. And I absolutely love love love this travel collection.

Inside each suitcase is a library of miniature books, matchbox suitcases, and other treasures inspired by the movies Titanic and The Aviator.

I've created a tutorial on how to make these cute little matchbox suitcases and a walk-through YouTube video to showcase this project. Currently, I'm working on a couple of tutorial sheets for this project, and once I've finished compiling I'll list them for sale on my Esty store. Do keep a look out, will be out pretty soon. I hope you guys will like this project. Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy.
