My First Post as Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador - Fairie Dust Magical Door

After all the traveling within SE Asia, finally I'm back with my very first blog post as Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador. As much as I'd like to stay consistent to update my blog and YouTube Channel on a regular basis, unfortunately I'm still very much stuck with other commitments. Till I iron things out, very soon I hope I'll have more time to stay focus on things I want to do.

Without further ado, let's go straight to what I've created for Graphic 45 as this June #G45Selfie challenge. I'm reviving my past tutorial that reflects my style of creating in the kind of craft I'm into. Sharing here is re-creation of a magical fairy door using Fairie Dust collection via a video tutorial I created previously as Graphic 45 DT member.

Believe it or not, I'm not a huge fan of purple. Simply not a colour I'll fancy the most even it's consider a royal colour that used to cost 3X more than gold centuries ago. Despite the fact that purple is not my colour of choice, I hardly restrict myself from using purple for creating. To give the door a magical feel, I used a gold as a complementary colour to match with the pastel purple. Practically speaking, I'm probably using the "most expensive commodities" for this magical door.

And here is the video tutorial in how to create this magical door. This tutorial merely show the technical aspect in creating this door and I leave the embellishing of the door open so that you can create the kind of magic you want without restriction.

I've provided some practical tips in how to embellish your door over at Graphic 45 blog, do remember to pop over to get these handy tips. For your interest, below is the list of supplies I used for this project together with links to where to get them:

First Guest Designer Blog Post with Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts - Goblin Door

It has been seriously quite some time I've been doing up Guest Designer's post. I was glad to be asked by Gina from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts to be their Guest Designer for the month of May. Despite my busy and hectic life recently, I've been trying my very best to squeeze some time out to get my creative brain cells kicking. Due to the lack of rest and time for myself, they are mostly in snoozing mode. Should I not wake them up, I might lose them forever! So it's time to get creative and inspiring again!

Alright, before I go non-stop chatting away my life, I better showcase my very first project using one of the fairy doors diecuts. OMG! They are way too cute! Instead of using them as fairy doors like they are intended for, I'm transforming one of them into a Goblin door. A door of a kind, on it's very own mounted at one little corner of my mum's house which is more than 30 years of age - a home I've grown up in for the past 30 over years.

Close to nature, the door was adorned with foliage, twigs, scrubs and leaves. Even the main door itself is built with some sort of bark from a trunk.

I hope this door can age well in subsequent years to come. Unless we've to move, this door will be there with a Goblin guarding our house.

A Fairy Door...

On today's blog post with Graphic 45, I'm sharing this cute little fairy door which I built from scratch... When Graphic 45 announced a re-release of Once Upon a Springtime for the Winter CHA, I was super excited!!! Always wanted to build something fairy-tale like and the moment I received the sample pack last year, without a second though I went ahead and build a fairy door!!!

This door was built and designed to be mounted on the wall or even at one corner of the house... It's a mini door within a door, with a fairy prayer right at the front door... As you open the door, what you can find inside are many various fairies treasures such as pixie dust, butterflies, wings, etc...

Caring Karie and Charming Mel Fairy Tooth Door Shrines

This month is not really a very smooth month for me as I was suddenly held up by a lot of unexpected things recently. My mind was very packed with quite a number of stuffs and have been taken up part of my time which prevent me to keep my projects updated on my blog. I hope I'm able to plan my time well enough. Nonetheless, I managed to find some time to update one of my DT project for Graphic 45, which is featured on yesterday blog post.

The inspiration actually comes from various shrines projects I've been seeing on various social media platform especially on Pinterest. That caught me thinking. Instead of finding stuffs to build the shrine up, I decided to use the various tags to create one. Something toy-like with a little whimsical fairy touch. The original intention was to do up something for my friend's daughter's birthday and this idea of building a fairy tooth door shrine popped up... And here I present, A Caring Karie tooth fairy for my friend's daughter. I've done up a video tutorial for this as well which I had further explained the inspiration behind this project.

I created another fairy tooth door shrine for my other friend's daughter using the sample I used for the tutorial demo in my video. I named this fairy the Charming Mel tooth fairy. The whole idea for this was Frozen inspired. I made the shrine that looks like an ice palace instead, especially build for a girl who has a cool personality. The whole shrine was actually glitter-ized, making it look "icy" and I added a little dish at the bottom for other treasure keeping.
